Katerina Tornari - ISU's new Head of Commercial

The International Skating Union (ISU) is delighted to announce the appointment of Katerina Tornari as its new Head of Commercial, a managerial role recently created as part of the ISU’s ongoing organizational transformation. With this appointment, the ISU strengthens its commercial leadership and strategic expertise to drive forward ISU Vision 2030 - a long-term roadmap to elevate ice-skating sports by placing athletes, fans, Members, and business partners at the centre of its growth. 

In her new role, Katerina will oversee the ISU’s commercial strategy, focusing on driving growth, innovation, and value across all areas of the organization’s business. Her key priorities will include:

• Commercial Strategy: Developing and implementing a unified approach across ISU events, media partnerships, and licensing initiatives.
• Revenue Growth: Expanding the ISU’s commercial portfolio through the acquisition of new global and regional sponsors.
• Partner Delivery: Overseeing end-to-end activation to ensure best-in-class delivery and long-term value for ISU’s commercial partners.

Katerina brings a wealth of experience in strategic commercial partnerships, sponsorship activations, media distribution, and advertising sales. She has held senior leadership roles at globally recognized organizations including CNN International, Liverpool FC, and most recently, Formula 1, where she collaborated with leading global brands including Qatar Airways and Mubadala.

Katerina’s appointment reflects the ISU’s ambition to build a modern, dynamic, and commercially sustainable future for all ice-skating disciplines worldwide.
