The 60th Ordinary ISU Congress will take place from June 10–12, 2026, in Tenerife, Spain, bringing together ISU Members and Office Holders from around the world for a decisive moment in the governance and future direction of international skating.
With the objective to collectively advance skating’s ongoing transformation, the Congress will serve as a key platform for dialogue, decision-making and strategic planning under the ISU Vision 2030 roadmap. Over three days, ISU Members, athletes, officials and stakeholders will come together to shape the next chapter of the sport and strengthen the foundations for its long-term growth.
A major focus of the 60th Congress will be the election of the ISU leadership for the next mandate. Delegates will elect the ISU President, two ISU Vice Presidents and ten members of the ISU Council, as well as the chairpersons and members of the Technical Committees for Single & Pair Skating, Ice Dance, Synchronized Skating, Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating.
The Congress will also appoint key governance and oversight bodies, including members of the Audit, Risk and Investment Committee, the Disciplinary Commission and the Integrity Unit Board, reinforcing the ISU’s commitment to the highest standards of transparency, accountability and modern governance.
Building on the progress achieved at the 59th ISU Congress in Las Vegas in 2024 and the Extraordinary Congress held in Lausanne in 2025, delegates in Tenerife will engage in important regulatory and strategic discussions focused on the sustainable growth, integrity and continued modernization of skating sports.
The agenda will include the President’s and Director General’s reports, financial reviews and budget approvals, technical committee updates, and discussions covering among others athlete welfare, anti-doping, development initiatives and legal affairs.
More than an electoral milestone, the 60th Ordinary ISU Congress represents a unique opportunity for the global skating community to exchange perspectives and collectively shape the direction of the ISU for the years ahead – driven by innovation, collaboration and inclusivity across all skating disciplines.
